The Finnish Association of Purchasing and Logistics, LOGY, has presented the 2026 Intralogistics Innovation Award. The winner was announced at Logistics Fair Finland at Tampere Sports & Expo on 10 September 2026.
The 2026 award went to software company Consafe Logistics and its AI assistant, Astrid. Built on large language models and deep expertise in warehouse operations, Astrid provides a conversational interface for Consafe’s Astro WMS warehouse management system.
Astrid is part of a broader AI framework within the Astro WMS environment. Artificial intelligence is used, for example, to optimise tasks and forecast workforce needs. The benefits include fewer human errors, more efficient operations and savings in energy and other resources. In one customer case, empty forklift travel in the warehouse decreased by 18% during the first week after the AI solution was introduced.
Many organisations have invested in advanced technology, yet new system capabilities often remain underused in day-to-day warehouse operations. Consafe’s AI assistant addresses this challenge directly. Astrid provides clear, step-by-step guidance through a conversational interface, making complex technology easier to use. It also gives employees access to advanced WMS features without requiring in-depth technical expertise.

The annual Intralogistics Innovation Award aims to promote the development and renewal of intralogistics in Finland by recognising outstanding expertise and innovation in the field.
